Introduction: The article based on the “Competency Framework”[1]. Its evolution and eight roles that a Manager should be doing day-to-day. Explain these in each article, this being the ninth of nine. The hard part is honesty and self-analysis and doing each step.


Integration and the Road to Mastery: Learn about Yourself. Develop and Install a Change Strategy.

Learn about Yourself: Do a self-assessment against all the competencies. Locate an online course covering each role and/or read books.

Assessment: The Personality Test was an easy route.

Learning: Doing Judo in my early teens helped.

Analysis: Reading a book drives analysis, with what would I do.

Practice: It is a lifelong challenge, and everyone changes with age and experience.

Application: Doing what you like and helping others.

Application: Varies with the channels of communication.
